My surgery was so painful that they gave me a morphine button. It really didn't help, though. They made 4 small incisions on my abdomen and used a small camera to look around inside me while the cut me up even more. They stuck a tube up my pee hole, and it made me fart through my urethra. It hurts to laugh, and they won't give me any more painkillers. Oh well, enough jabbering.

So, my cousin has lung cancer.
I just found out the other day.
They said that the type of tumor suggested that she had experienced prolonged and heavy exposure to asbestos, which makes no sense, seeing as how she's never been near the stuff, and she is only like 30-35, and the tumor is more like an 65 year old who installed asbestos all his life.
This sucks. |

Belay my last comment on M.E. in my last post. Took the test today. Got a 91%. I kicked that tests ass. The tests are graded on a 4.0 scale, just like GPA. our class average on that test was 3.38. The average for most classes on that test is a 3.12. Even though I had such a high score, I was still only like 6th in the class of 15 on the test. We kick ass.

I hate physics. Mechanical Equipment sucks. First ME test tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get at least a 70% =/ In other news, bought my plane ticket to San Diego for when I go on leave.
Arrive June 9th, depart the 17th.

I saw some guys walking around base today with fuzzy russian hats, sticks with toilet paper rolls to act as hilts, and corncob pipes in their mouths. You'll never see people LARPing on base anywhere else in the military.

Few things suck worse than food poisoning from bad shrimp fajitas. I threw up 3 times in class yesterday, and I took a 4 hour nap in the middle of the day when i should have been studying for the exam today. Oh well, I passed, with a decent score too, but I know I wouldv'e done better If I went to the corpman and got something for my stomach on saturday. Can't be helped now.

holy crap....nuke school is crazy.
I go to school at 6:30 every morning, get out at 4ish, then go back at 5 or so and put it about 3-4 hours extra study on top of it, which i think might not be enough still....
And mosquitos suck in south carolina. i have about 100+ bite marks from those little shitheads all over my body right now. It's really distracting in class.

It's amazing.

I can finally leave this place and get to my "a" school.
All I have to do now is wait for my orders.

So, here i am, stuck at a temporary holding barracks for god knows how long, waiting for a friggin lazy doctor to sign some paperwork so i can finally get to my "A" school and get on with my navy career. By the way, thank you to everyone who sent me a letter while i was in bootcamp. You have no idea how much of a necessity they were. In the meantime, I'll just be stuck here. |

Saw the play at west hills today. The performances were rather nice. No, I won't say a bunch of deep shit for everybody to comment and ponder on, so don't expect any. |

So, I guess I haven't posted in this thing for forever. Let's see... Today is my last day working at U-haul. I have a few more weeks here before I go to Washington. I'm going to be visiting family and spending thanksgiving with my Grandparents. After that, I have about 2-3 weeks to get everything ready before i go. I need to close out some bank accounts, donate stuff to good will, put the stuff I want into storage, deactivate my cell phone contract, memorize the General Orders Of A Sentry, get my marching and drill down, change my sleeping patterns to getting up earlier, and make sure to see and spend time with everyone before I go. I'm going to be rather busy.

I went to the midnight of showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show last night. That was pretty freakin awesome. I am now no longer a virgin, so next time I go, I'm not gonna be one of the people who gets their asses paddled. |

So, in the last few days, I've watched at least 5 Ghibli films. Nausicaa, Castle in The Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Grave of the Fireflies, and another movie I forget the name of with this cat named Baron something. Anyways, they were all pretty amazing. |
